Track Changes - View only Additions Word 2002 (Word 2002)

I have a few clients who want changes tracked in very large documents but not deletions. The closest I've ever come to achieving this in Word 2002 was with a macro the Microsoft help forums supplied me with (I have attached the text for the macro).

This only worked on some workstations in my office though - on one station it did nothing, and on most others Word just didn't mark deletions at all (so staff would delete text and it would appear to still be current).

Is there another way to do this or could someone have a look at the macro and tell me where the problems are coming from?

Thanks in advance.

Let's say you were going to fix up the appearance interactively: you would go through and accept each of the deletions -- removing the marking and the deleted text -- but skip over each of the insertions so that they remain marked, right? If so, I think you could do that with this macro:

Sub AcceptDeletes()
' Macro to accept the deletes marked in the active document
If Not MsgBox("Clear out all text marked for deletion?", _
vbYesNo + vbQuestion) = vbYes Then Exit Sub
Dim intCounter As Integer
With ActiveDocument.Revisions
' Work backwards from the last revision mark to the first
For intCounter = .Count To 1 Step -1
' Check the type and accet only "deletes"
If .Item(intCounter).Type = wdRevisionDelete Then
End If
End With
End Sub

Hope this helps. Note that in tables, VBA can sometimes seem to go haywire with revision marks. I didn't test this against any tables with revisions; you might want to do that before unleashing it.

Added: By the way, the problem with the macro you got from the "help" forums is that it leaves the deleted text but removes the marking. That seems to be the worst of all worlds!
