    Windows Media Presenter (2000/XP)

    PowerPoint 2000 supports the use of the Windows Media Presenter add-in which allows us to specify the pixel dimensions of exported GIFs. Windows Media Presenter does not seem to be compatible with PowerPoint XP. Is there another method we can use in XP to export GIFs at a specific size?

    Re: Windows Media Presenter (2000/XP)

    Here's an old macro I used to use to kick out GIFs of all the slides. The Export method takes a size parameter:
    <pre>Sub SlideToGIF()
    If MsgBox("Export all non-hidden slides as GIF images?", vbQuestion + vbYesNo) _
    = vbNo Then Exit Sub
    Dim strPath As String, aSlide As Slide, strClassDate As String
    strPath = "c:course2003ppt" & Left(ActivePresentation.Name, _
    InStr(1, ActivePresentation.Name, ".") - 1)
    If Dir(strPath & "*.*") = vbNullString Then
    MkDir strPath
    End If
    For Each aSlide In ActivePresentation.Slides
    'Edited 6/9/03 to export only non-hidden slides
    If aSlide.SlideShowTransition.Hidden = msoFalse Then _
    aSlide.Export strPath & "slide" & Trim(Str(aSlide.SlideIndex)) & ".gif", _
    "gif", 320, 240
    End Sub</pre>

    Hope this helps.
