    HTML Links to Word Templates

When I create a link from a webpage to a Word template, it opens the template. Can I script the link to call a new document based on the template, like via File>New in Word?

That sounds like the easiest, most obvious request you could ever have when creating hyperlinks. Unfortunately I don't know the 'correct' way to do it and have asked the same question lots of times. The workaround I eventually came up with is to hyperlink to a shortcut which points at the template and includes a /n in the pointer. This gives the same result in a counter-intuitive way.

If you can discover a way to make the shortcut based on a relative link you'll win brownie points because I haven't worked that one out yet and I sure want it to happen in my HTML Help file.
