    detect registry changes

I want to detect what changes a program installation makes to my registry (Win2K Pro), so I can obliterate it completely when I uninstall it. Is there a utility I can use? Or a prodedure?

    Re: detect registry changes

If there is ever a perfect program written this would happen. Remember that after the install any program defaults and or other settings that are made Will be reflected in the registry. This is what some of these so called third party uninstaller are to do. They need to be installed before the programs are, so it (the uninstaller) can watch what is happening. But if you were to upgrade the uninstaller you will lose some of the tracking. The watching is also one of the things that will really slow down your machine.

Bottom line is that there will never be a program that will track every setting in the registry and know what made the change so it can be reset on the removal of a program. Some of the registry cleaners will remove some of the items left behind.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
