    Convert Acces 97 db to 2003 (2003)

I have several databases that are in 97 and 2000 MS Access. I want to convert them to MS Access 2003 and combine them into one large database. Can anybody see any problems that might come up with this?

Re: Convert Acces 97 db to 2003 (2003)

You can import everything into a new database. You may want to stick to Access 2000 format - it can be used without conversion in Access 2000, 2002 (XP) and 2003.

You will have to make sure that there are no name conflicts, e.g. database objects (tables, queries etc.) with the same name, public procedures with the same name in different modules, etc. There are a few other things to look out for, mainly in VBA code; see for example <post#=398272>post 398272</post#> and <post#=383425>post 383425</post#>.
