    pie chart (Excel 2002)

    Hi there,

    I have the following data:

    Member Type Payment
    A 10
    A 15
    C 22
    B 30
    C 32
    A 25

    and I would like to know how I can create a pie chart that will automatically show the sums of each member type. In other others, I don't want to show the amount of A three times (10, 15, 25) and instead just once as 50.

    Step 1: create a pivot table based on your data. (Data | PivotTable and PivotChart Report)
    Step 2: create a chart based on the pivot table.

    If you want the chart in a separate sheet, you can also create a pivot chart directly in step 1.
