Excellent piece of deduction work Gary. You can have [choccy bar] for your attempt.

Now that we know it is The Eiffel Tower I am offering up 5 [choccy bars] to any Puzzle Lounger who can work out my thinking behind this. The first Where am I? will give you a clue on how the code basically works but there is a twist, so be warned

If the blue bar is -4, subtract its value from the red bar. The resulting number indicates the letler in the alphabet (1 = A, 2 = B, etc.)
If the blue bar is 3, ignore it and just look at the value of the red bar.

Well done Hans

There was an even more subtle way.

If the original letter was in an even position in the alphabet then I subtracted 4, if it was odd I added 3 and replotted the answers. The way Excel plotted confused the issue with the blue bars, hence your correct deduction of "do nothing"

I have attached the workbook for Where am I? and Where am I? II to see the way I calculated it...enjoy

I think you are giving me some ideas here!!!
Wait till I start with some "puzzles" using Excel as a platform!!

This may start a WHOLE NEW puzzle trend!!! - All creditted to Jerry!!

You might want to take a look at Jezza's Gridlocked puzzles, too, which also use Excel...
