Norton Personal Firewall and FF

Now that I updated my FF browser to 1.07, I can't use it without turning off my firewall. For obvious reasons this is not something I want to do. I'm not sure where I went wrong. I tried turning off Norton when I installed and restarted my computer. I've tried disconnecting from the Internet and installing. I've even tried uninstalling FF and then downloading the whole shebang again from Mozilla. No luck. When I checked the Internet Access on my firewall, it says Automatic configuration. I did try to change it to Permit All but when I did that, Norton froze up and would not respond. Any ideas? Please? I'm going into FF withdrawl and its not pretty.

There is a lot of discussion about Firefox and Norton on the Mozillazine forums. See How to configure Norton Internet Security (NIS) - MozillaZine Forums
