Tables breaking across pages (2003 XP)

I am trying to create a Word document that contains tables. The tables contain third party generated macros that contain things like school subject grades and teacher's names. I am allowed to insert section breaks between tables, then if a macro is not populated with a result ( a student is not taking that subject) the section disappears. This works fine except that if more that a couple of tables are lost the remaining tables that jump up to replace them sometimes break across pages which is unacceptable.

I know that tables can be stopped from breaking across pages, but not down pages.

    Can this be done?

Re: Tables breaking across pages (2003 XP)

You could select all but the last row of a table, and set "Keep with next" in the Paragraph Format dialog (or in code). That will keep the table on one page.
Warning 1: do NOT set "Keep with next" for the last row.
Warning 2: this will lead to problems if the table ever becomes longer than one page.
