XML How To in Word (Word 2003)

I am working on a large document which I want to put on our Intranet. I would like to learn about using the XML feature in Word as this may be the answer to reducing the size of the file/s and improving the accessibility and look of my document. I dont know much about what it can do and how to use it. Can anyone give me some advice or a link or even recommend any books on the subject.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: XML How To in Word (Word 2003)

I believe Andrew Savikas (Andrew77) has posted some links on this board about Word 2003's XML. Assuming Word splits the document into a data document (.XML) and a style sheet (.XSL), I suspect the overall data size wouldn't change much, and you would have the inconvenience of managing two documents. But you'll have to try it and see how it goes. And let us know. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
