Before I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows 98 SE, C:WindowsSendTo included the following three files:

Any Folder....OtherFolder: move or copy file(s) to any folder
Clipboard As Name.NameOnClipboard: copy file's full name to clipboard
Command Line.CommandLine: send file's path to a DOS command line

The above were crucial in my day-to-day operations, but I cannot locate their installation files. I am positive they are from Microsoft; perhaps they are power or kernel toys?

Am I ringing any bells? Does anyone know where I can locate these files?

Yes they are the Windows 95 Powertoys.
Search MS downloads for it.
When you install the Sendto Any Folder Powertoy, it screws up the Send to Desktop as Shortcut link.
I found that re-installing/repairing or upgrading Internet Explorer with Desktop Enhancements will fix it.

Here's the link to download the powertoys package from Microsoft's website (at least until they change it as they seem to do often):

Max's tip on restoring the desktop tweak is handy. If you don't know how to run the IE repair tool, here's how (courtesy John Savill's Windows 2000 FAQ website):

1) From the Start menu select Settings - Control Panel
2) Double click the Add/Remove Software control panel applet
3) Select 'Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools'
4) Click the 'Add/Remove' button
5) Select 'Repair Internet Explorer' and click OK
6) Click 'Yes' to the repair confirmation

If you don't have the option in the Add/Remove Software control panel applet it can be run from the command line:

C:> rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance "C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerSetupSETUP.EXE" /g "C:WINDOWSIE Uninstall Log.Txt"
