    Days between calculation (2003)

I have two Form Fields to enter dates - a starting and ending date. I've left the default bookmarks Text1 and Text2. I've then inserted a 'formula' field and set it to '=Text2-Text1'. Having entered two dates and updated the formula field it displays zero!? The Text2 date occurs after the Text1 date, and I've tried formatting the field using 0 or ###0, but the result is still zero. How can I correct this? Andy.

Dates in Word are just text, they aren't stored as numbers (as in Excel). So you cannot simply subtract two dates. See Macropod's <!post=Date Calculations in Word (2.46),249902>Date Calculations in Word (2.46)<!/post>.
