Microsoft restores free access to lookout

Last issue I mentioned Lookout, an impressive new indexing program for Outlook 2000 and above. It appears it impressed Microsoft, too, because they just bought the company. As a result, the free beta immediately disappeared from the Lookout web site. (Thanks to subscriber Gary Kuever for letting me know.) The latest news is that due to public outcry, Microsoft has re-instated the free beta on the MS website. I’ve been using it for a week and it’s a great product. It finds email within Outlook almost instantly and I’d rate it as just as good as Enfish. Go get it while it’s free.
