It’s now the holiday season — so let’s talk about food!
For the novelty and sometimes outrageousness of their offerings, let’s invoke the memories of chefs Clarissa Dickson Wright and Jennifer Paterson, who were the “Two Fat Ladies” of a BBC cooking show in the late 1990s. Known for numbers of eccentric habits — such as travel to show locations via motorcycle and sidecar — they stirred controversy with their unapologetic enthusiasm for lard, butter, cream, and pork pie.
As you’ll see in this video homage to varieties of cooking fats from a number of their shows, the two ladies were as well endowed with humor as appetites, even at their own expense. Bon appétit! Click below or go to the original YouTube video.
