What’s more exciting than a dinosaur robot or special effects? Meet the allosaurus designed and built in Japan by Kazuya Kanemaru, president of Takumi, which primarily makes museum sets and panels.

This dinosaur and others made by Takumi are costumes. Their convincing realism depends on some technology (mainly cameras), the movement of the human being inside, and a canny use of good old-fashioned physics in the design. Play the video
