Mail Merge Label 1/4 Letter Postcard

    Dear Sir,

    Hi

I am using Microsoft Office 2010. I want to create 1/4 Letter Postcard under label category. As you know there can be four label placed on entire pages and there are two parts of page. I want to repeat both two labels on second part. Usually, under this layout we can display selected label four times or four unique labels by using Next Record option.

My problem is different i want to display 1 & 2 on first upper part then 1 & 2 on second lower part of first page. On second page this scheme will be remain the same i.e. 3 &4 and 3&4. Is there any technical member on this forum to solve my complex problem. I have to do my assignment.

    Kindly help

    Shehbaz H.

    Shehbaz,

Welcome to the lounge as a New Poster!

Since there is no <<Previous Record>> mailmerge command you have to play with things.

One way to do it is to create two mail merge documents using the same data source.

Number one would use only the two top cards.

Now you'd merge & print this.

Number two would only use the two bottom cards with the same field definitions.
Load the printer up with the previous set of cards in the same order (make sure how the printer is working as some inkjet printers print last sheet first so they stack correctly).
Merge and print to fill in the bottom cards.

    Sir,

Yes i am using two forms but in duplicate ultimately these are four forms. Upper portion of the post card have different addresses while lower must have the replica of the above. My question is that how can i make replica of the above to below portion?

    Regards

    Shehbaz,

The two pass method I suggested will still work just create the two merge documents with the appropriate fields and text rather than duplicating them. HTH

As I indicated at techsupportforum, though, this can be done via a single mailmerge, either of the Directory kind with one-column table in a two-column document layout, or as a label merge by merging the rows in each column.

PS: As I've closed this thread, Shehbaz can't reply.
